- Waterway and port status against the norm
- Oil, bunker and freight moves since the last print
- Overnight events with links to the source
- One- and three-month outlook with intervals
One picture of the route, at four distances.
The daily alert says what moved overnight and whether it matters. The weekly reads the closed week against the norm. The monthly carries the full analysis; the quarterly turns it into scenarios and decisions.
- Four baselines for every waterway and port
- Tanker, container, gas and period markets
- Cargo mix by vessel type, tonnage passability
- Air cargo capacity at the nine airports
- Month against the same month of 2019–2025
- Port calls next to official throughput
- Oil and gas physical flows
- What happened after the cut-off
- Quarter scorecard against the seasonal norm
- Base, harder and softer scenarios
- Decision board: route cost against risk premium
- Presentation deck for the board
The places where a delay becomes a cost.
Every point below is tracked on each cadence: transits and port calls against a seven-year norm, queues at berth, weather at sea, conflict and security notices, and arrivals at the cargo airports that carry the region’s air freight.

A figure without its source and date is an opinion.
We publish fewer numbers than we collect, and each one arrives with what you need to check it yourself.
Source, cut-off and label on every figure
Each value names its publisher and the date it describes, and says what it is. factestimateforecast
Against the norm, not against yesterday
Transits and port calls are read against the same calendar week of 2019–2025, with the deviation in standard deviations. A quiet Tuesday is not a trend.
Two measures before a status
A collapse in transits is checked against an independent count of vessels present in the area. A reading too far from the norm to confirm is marked unconfirmed, not alarming.
Forecasts with measured intervals
Every outlook carries a range, and how often that range has held on past data is measured and printed beside it.
Prices are orders of magnitude
Broker prints and diversion costs are indications, labelled as estimates with the method beside them — never presented as a quote.
News read for what it changes
Events at the chokepoints, ports, oil markets and regulators are checked every issue and tied to the number they explain — with a link to the original.
